Psychotherapy and Brainspotting for Parents
I believe a parent’s well-being is vital to the health and well-being of the family. My practice specializes in supporting moms and dads of children of all ages, who are looking to feel better. The best thing a parent can do for their family is to take care of themselves….
I specialize in supporting parents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, grief and loss, life transitions and parenting struggles. Parents do so much for their children. What if the best thing you could do for your children was to take care of yourself?
Whether you are a new parent or a seasoned parent, whether you are just setting out on this parenting journey or have been struggling for a while, I am here to help you put that oxygen mask on for yourself so you can begin to feel better…
You will be amazed at the shifts that can happen in a family when you begins to take care of yourself.
I created this practice after becoming a depleted, anxious, rageful mother myself after the birth of my first child. I could see my mental health needs interfering with my ability to connect with my children and my moods were trickling down to my children. I also became aware of how I was raised was influencing how I was raising my children and I became reflective of what I wanted to pass on and what I did not.
I realized parents have a unique set of needs and parenting brings up a unique set of feelings. Parents deserve to be supported and valued and I would be honored to journey through parenthood with you.
I have a unique and powerful approach when supporting parents. I offer psychotherapy combined with Brainspotting, which offers an extra supportive layer of insight and processing. During our work together we will work towards identifying and processing what it is that you need so that you can begin to feel better. And remember…
the health of your family begins with your own….
